Brockenhurst Heritage and History

This website celebrates Brockenhurst and its heritage and history as a beautiful village at the heart of the New Forest. 

For several years a series of history books, both factual history and stories passed-down, have been sold to raise funds for Brockenhurst's CofE churches. 

The raw material has been from John Purkess MBE, who ran the main village store and has lived his life in the village; and journalist David Bennett who has contributed and edited the books, as well as his own.
